Regarding <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faqs.org\/docs\/sp\/sp-178.html\">pitch perception, <\/a>it says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>So far, we have described pitch phenomena referring to the position of haircells that get excited along the basilar membrane.
